We offer a variety of academic & academic enrichment classes
designed for students in small groups of up to 8 students.

  • Our Phonics program specializes in utilizing Orton-Gillingham methodolgoies and a little Science of Reading to help students not only boost performance in reading and literacy in an engaging and authentic way, but also helps solidify and strengthen their spelling and writing skills. Students who complete Phonics A should be able to read successfully at a 1st/2nd grade level, while students who complete Phonics B will be able to read at a 3rd/4th grade level. Please note: Phonics education, unless on an IEP/ 504 plan, typically ends by the end of 2nd grade in public schools. The results of student’s progress is highly dependent on parents involvement at home.

    Students in this course are given assessments every 6 - 8 weeks to notate their progress, as well as take home assignments to work on with their families. Assignments are 10 - 15 minutes in length and promote students to develop a healthy habit and relationship with reading.

    Phonics A - Covers Letter awareness, letter sounds, cvc words, sight words, penmanship, blends

  • Get your little ones ready to get their fingers moving and grooving to building their own bots, while learning to identify fundamental robotic and engineering terms.

    This course includes the building of a variety of different robots as well as some games to bring a more thorough understanding of the principles of structure, circuity, motors, sensors, and mechanics.

    This course builds off of Robotics A adding a new element to the mix: coding. In this course students will utilize beginner level robotic kits to help master the concepts of coding/programming, collaborating with peers, inputs, outputs, as well as a few more intricate robotic builds- think bigger, better, and much more complex.

  • We specialize in boosting student performance and top scores in the ACT! Unlike the SAT, which emphasizes strategic test taking skills- the ACT is designed to helps who think more black and white- sticking with facts. This exam is greatly used for students seeking acceptance to top colleges with rigorous STEM programs, such as GA Tech, MIT, Stanford, Yale, Duke, and etc.

    This course is broken into two seperate offerings with two different focuses so students can hone in to specific skills and areas where they are targeting for improvement.

    Please note: Each track has a separate cost. Students enrolled in either are welcomed to come to hosted “testing” days which are announced throughout the calendar year.

  • Welcome to TAM’s official Lit & Lang club. This club is designed to help students in grades 6 - 10 learn how to analyze, critique, and dissect a variety of genre short-story texts & novels to help boost their critical thinking skills as well as boost their vocabulary in preparation for the PSAT/SAT/ACT as well as secondary school/college studies- a skill students tend to lack in mastery.

    Students will all be issued reading packets where they’ll highlight and answer questions in margins to help break down the complexity of different texts to identify and/or define different literary elements used throughout the text. All students in attendance are expected to maintain a reading response journal where they’ll jot down their authentic thoughts about the text to bring in and discuss with their peers and/or will document their responses to issued writing prompts. They are also issued vocabulary lists to define and exercises to complete.

    Students are required to submit all assignments in writing - hand written as we’re seeking to develop each students authentic voice and craftsmanship.

    Think of it as an advanced reading/book club.

  • Students of all ages and skill levels are welcomed to play. This chess club both teaches new and strengthens novice students understanding of the scholastic sport and art of this classic game.
